When is Karwa Chauth or Karva Chauth? – A North Indian Festival celebrated?
Karwa Chauth or Karva Chauth, the Hindu festival is observed mostly in northern parts of India as a woman’s devotion towards her husband.
Married women observe a day-long nirjala fast (without food or water) for the safety and long life of their husbands. Some girls of marriageable age and unmarried women fast on the day for their prospective grooms. . Women dress up in colourful clothes, apply henna and break the fast only after offering prayers to the moon after moon sighting in the evening.

yuhin ek hokar, aap ye zindagi bitaayein,
aapki khushiyan ek pal ke liye bhi na chhootein.
